Puzzle Piece Poem by Rigzen Angmo

A beautiful moment, a distant dream
I don't even know what to call you today.
A ghost of my past that's fading fast;
Or a flickering light that's giving away.
A folklore old, the times of gold
Our days were numbered like that in year
'Forever afters' still haunt my heart
Broken promises still through me sear.
Pieces of you still remain in me,
In my laughter, my tears, my broken soul
Words of yours still ring my ears
Like works of art, like gospels, like lore.

Look into my eyes, beyond the surface
Glistening tears you will always find.
Because everytime you cross my mind
I fought back my tears, I turned in blind.

You won't know this heartache, would you?
For you never looked back one time past
This feeling of falling with no ground to touch
To be pierced by shadows your memories cast.

Days before you I had light and day
Long before you my sun was one.
Times before you my stars shone bright
In life before you, my world did turn.
Now my eyes have but refused
To see the sun at all.
Today I loathe the moon and stars
They so remind me of you.
A grey sky is what I'd rather see
Please unchain me, I'd rather be free!

A long time has passed and time really has fled
But I still do not know what is to be said
If ever I were someday, to meet you again
Would it be just a 'hi' or 'am glad we met'

If anything I only wish you would know

If my life were a puzzle
And you were to see
You would realise, you were the one
The only one to fit perfectly!
