Quality Of Life Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Quality Of Life

Finally.
The people have begun to cheer,
A decision made in their quality of life.

"That sounds to me,
The beginning we were promised...
Of becoming so tired of winning."

Oh, it's going to be a win.
That's for sure.
But...
Who is it that wins.

"Explain.
If not the people.
Who is it benefits,
From the decision made? "

Well...
It has been decided,
The quality of life for all people...
Will no longer be endorsed.
Or enforced upon the people.
To better the quality of it.
But instead,
Less involvement from the government.
And those elected to represent,
Their constituents...
Is no longer a requirement,
Done to deceive the people.

"And this,
Down slide...
Meets with the approval of the people? "

Listen to them.
They're cheering their heads off.
