Queen Bee Poem by Rimni chakravarty

Queen Bee

Rating: 5.0

I thought of taking a break
But no ‘am back to compose again
Of a lady who exhibits vanity
Dwelling in a small city
Believe that she is the great soul
Who has not seen the empty bowl?
That king Siddhartha too had seen
And appreciated to what he received
But she is the queen bee
With pride loves to see?
All the women bow down before her
Follow her like a chidden train
Or else she will go much far
To raise her voice;
Who loves to lose their poise?
So none to refrain
Her from her age old practice
But I care for no tactics
I am the one who call a spade a spade
Her words many a times pierce me like a blade
It bleeds me a lot
The entire environment rot
Colorless blood trickles down my eyes
When I am home
The photographs of my parents watch me groan
In pain,
The salty waters pour out from eyes like rain
Still I will not yield to that queen bee
Who loves to see?
All the women bow down before her
Or she will go mad to go afar.
Since she is Mrs. so and so
I care a little to lie low
As I have my potentials that I believe will shine like gold
So I am the lady bold.
Let the queen bee shout and scream
Let her develop wrinkled skin
Let her behave like the weird sisters of Macbeth
And scream to run out of breath.

Of a lady who exhibits vanity Dwelling in a small city Believe that she is the great soul she is the queen bee With pride loves to see? Her words many a times pierce me like a blade It bleeds me a lot I am the lady bold. References to Siddhartha and Macbeth was fine. Very nice poem. The vanity itself peronified… and the lady bold. Made me think a lot. Thank you dear poetess. tony
