Question Bells Ring - Poem by Joyce Hemsley
Enchanted was he wth a red dress she wore
And the silver and gold in her jewellery store,
How he adored the silk rose in her hair and
A sleek satin blouse seemed beyond compare.
Her stylish walk gave a 'catwalk' allure
As did her cape of white ermine fur.
But ignoring all other... question bells ring
Was he really in love, did his heart ever sing
And was each season a glorious Spring?
