Question Of Time Poem by Late Sunrise

Question Of Time

Born to live an unknown number of years,
Born to die, after endurance against threats,
I didn’t want to count the remaining days,
Sure that all would be equal, in smiles or tears.

Choice with indifference, I might say also
Faced with patience and resignation too,
The last years promised to be tasteless,
Nothing brought to chase their sadness.

Thoughts I can consider from a past time,
For now, since you are part of my life,
I am fed by the will of defeating the time,
Shining hopes are gifts from you I desire.

I left all my disillusions and my sorrow,
Although their wounds are still so present,
Every day you give me more joy and strength,
To face the next dawn, past has no more law.

Without either regret than to see the time
Passing by, wishing that you could be mine,
Waiting for years to be spent near each other,
At last, I found in you what I needed since ever.
