Questioning Existence Poem by Em'Marie Sweet

Questioning Existence

What is it all for?
Why care what others think;
Why make the effort to please all those we encounter?
Is the favor ever returned?

Treachery and deceit far outweigh being honest and forthright;
I love My Father and know He loves me;
Yet why does He allow such trials and tribulations?

What's in store for the rest of my years?
Will there be a happy ending?
Is this it, all there is;
Struggle and angst?

Someone for all His creatures
Yet hear I stand without a dance partner.
Again I ask, what is it all for?
My purpose to be revealed in His time;
Anxiously I wait with baited breath.
