Quick Forgiveness Givers Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Quick Forgiveness Givers

An escalating of a nonsense started.
That develops into something,
Easily to have been avoided.
Will find its way to be regretted.
By the ones who consciously,
Thread that needle.

People pricked to sting and picked,
For no reason at all.
To inflict mental and physical pain,
With a provocation to play that game.
May pray faithfully on a regular basis.
However...
No one wicked should assume,
Those innocently victimized...
Are quick forgiveness givers.
Praying to God to intervene.

Or...
Do not have up their sleeves,
Unexpected ways...
To delay revenge done to come.
Leaving even God in awe,
By the creativity of it.

Then...
On knees to pray.
In the hope God cuts them some slack.
For not holding back,
From being attracted to perform...
A returning of an evil act.
Intended to do but with justifiable skill.
