Feel the sweat upon my forehead
The struggle is all that there is
They want me to just play dead
Like twinkling blades to my wrists
But the more I fight the more I sink
Yet my mind always wants to think
Where am I going, is it worth it all
Strong are the leaves but they will fall
I'm burning up in my frustrations
While all around me spins in damnation
I'm reaching out but no ones there
The sickness spreads and no one cares
Gravity still pulling me down
The hourglass is running so low
Into the earth where I will drown
Two by two in the mouth I go
But I wont go without a fight
The only spark there is tonight
Soon the sand will swallow me
They'll know I tried tenaciously
When the fever is running high
And the sinking drags me down
How can one try to survive
When the earth tries to drown
I will not go quietly
There's still a fight within me
