Quit Resisting Poem by Pasquale DiMeola

Quit Resisting

Step into love as if it were quicksand
A feeling completely over your head
Grasp the eminence with both of your hands
Let the suspension nurture you instead

Cartwheel against abstraction of reason
Letting go of misconceptions once had
Accept changes in women like seasons
Learn to tolerate the good with the bad

Hoist the white flag of stubborn attitude
Be contented as your ship would arrive
Keep your lover on the same latitude
Clench those hands tightly if love takes a dive.
