Quivering Echoes Poem by Diana van den Berg

Quivering Echoes

There was a voice
Full of the cries of seabirds
And lilting laughter
Like Christmas lights
And song as sweet and high
As larks fly
And a touch
On the teasing wind
In rushes
Of to and fro
And she closed her eyes,
Breathless.
