Racism DuJour

So they used to wear sheets
And hide their faces
While doing their dirty deeds.
Now they march in khakis
Carrying their idiotic flags
That represent the worst
Traits in humanity
Intolerance and hate.

Fox News I blame you
Right wing radio
You are blamed too
You scapegoated folks
Heck I blame Reagan
And his welfare queen joke.
Poking fun at the misfortune
Caused by institutional racism.
But the real stooge
The real culprit
Is the one who emboldened them,
The new KKK, neo Nazis
And white supremacists
With his election, Donald Trump!

If you see fit to only see skin
In your frenzied mind
Would that you suffered
From a case of
Hysterical blindness
Or by some accident
Become blind.

Skin would become the organ
It was meant to be
Wearing just a pigment
That means one
Is sensitive to light
Based on their melanin.

Equality of the races
Forgoing tribalism
One humanity under
A large friggin tent!
That is where we should
Be headed.
Not in the opposite direction
With more and more divisions.
