Rage And Tender Hearts Poem by Deo Inji

Rage And Tender Hearts

Rating: 4.3

He's seven and sad, his home's been raised by rage
up to the edge of a cliff
Its freefall at any moment will break it in two
and he's forced to live with a split

He covers his ears, trying hard not to hear
the bitterness of their rage as they tune to their fits
But even the deaf could hear such loud violence
if they were asleep in a pit

He stares in despair into the empty air,
the love that use to surround him no longer there
Wondering if God 's still there, and if He still cares
'Coz 'mom and dad've been selfish, it isn't fair'

He sits outside under blue skies til the moon rise
alone with a heart so tender, so broken and desolate
wondering how such a heart so wounded and empty
could render love and demonstrate
