I Have A Dream Poem by Deo Inji

I Have A Dream

Rating: 4.2

I have a dream
You have a dream
Like Martin Luther King
So let's just spread our wings
Like the doves
Like the birds that fly free and sing

Under friendly skies
Where no one dies
Except from natural causes
Like when you live a century
Then suddenly nature calls you

And you hear it
Like a river flowing down into the sea
Like a rock hears the trees
When the breeze blow the leaves
You hear it like the flower
Hears the bees
When they want that thing so sweet
Like a woman hears a man
When he wants that thing so sweet

I have a dream
You have a dream
And we dream of the same thing
Like happiness, love and peace
The opposite of war and grief

And we dream of the same thing
Like when a king finds his queen
And they make love
The most beautiful thing
And have babies
The cutest things
And they grow up
Under friendly skies
Where no one dies
Of violence

Silence...
I hear Mother Nature
calling another centenarian
I still dream I will live that long
And be that strong
And when nature calls
I'll leave in a chariot
But I hear thunder in the skies
And it's not from nature
It's a storm of war
Coming at the speed of hatred

I see the dark clouds of smoke
Like the one of Hiroshima
And it gets thicker and thicker
Like the forest of Argentina
I mean,
The Amazon of Brazil
So let's be real
I mean,
Let's make our dream real
Bcoz we're living in nightmares
We wake up in tears and fear
Seeing satan right there
