Raging Love Poem by Brittany Brown

Raging Love

I sat, angered, as it consumed my whole body
Judgement, clouded by thoughts fueling the rage, stroking its ego
I felt betrayed, I felt letdown, the same feelings as before
No matter what, I still entice you, for you infatuate me
Filling me with rage, you remind me, why
I ignore the feelings for you, and why
I don't trust easily
My heart wants you, craves attention, love
Yet my mind, wiser, wants you as a memory, a lovely raging memory
Tears, come, effortlessly
As I wipe, trying to stop them
You don't deserve, my tears
Yet they come anyway, challenging every wipe
Why do you, have all of my love, and yet you anger me
