Rain - Poem by Dejan Stojanovic

Those who hate rain hate life.
Nothing reminds us of an awakening more than rain:
Listening to the drops falling
Over the forests, over the roofs,
Over the streets, over us
While naked we dream of yet another
Night like this one, unrepeatable
Emotions flowing into the rainy streets,
Rainy thoughts and feelings, wetting
The ground even more
Flying high, becoming clouds
Transforming us into the drops
Falling over the roofs, over the streets,
Becoming rain and loving
This feeling without knowing that
The rain teaches what it means to be alive,
To not know, yet be awake and know
More than knowledge can teach or tell.

Nothing reminds us of an awakening more than rain,
And awake for the sunlight we wait.
