the clouds have started thundering now
by the window i sit, waiting for the rain
i desperately see through the glass
to seek the refuge for the pain
and then, the glimpses from my past
the memoirs i thought i had burned
stood before me, smiled, taunted;
will u forget the only thing you have learned?
that day, it rained too,
when she parted with me; with glee
there was no sorrow, no tear in those eyes
there was no turning back, no good byes
the clouds are thundering louder now;
they too witnessed the moments
moments of love, harmony, betrayal and of loneliness
we both shed tears then; we both shed tears now
but, my dear friend, why do you cry?
the memory of a lost one is the reason for my agony
it is all that i have; my treasure; my memory; my entity
tell me, the reason for your tears; what is your tragedy?
is it my distress, my anguish?
or is it the sense of helplessness?
or is it the guilt of leaving me, desolated?
are all these fears that you couldnt vanquish?
your thunderous cries cannot justify;
your love, your faithfulness and your faithlessness
your tears realize me of your sympathy
but, your absence leaves me empty
i know; your presence causes me to cry
i know; your absence leaves me empty and dry
but why do i long for you? why do i wait for you?
how can you be my friend?
your arrival makes me cry
and then you leave..........
while there is still a tear in my eye! ! !
