upon taking refuge in my dreams...
i look down at my palms
i look at what i always wanted
and then i look how it's absence haunted
upon taking refuge in my dreams...
i look myself being chained
as i struggled, i cried i realized
the grip of despair is too strong
perhaps, i belong here
to fight it would be wrong
upon taking refuge in my dreams...
i look myself being consumed
by these very fumes
of loneliness, distrust and hatred
as, the leaves of trees in autumn
i look myself being scattered!
upon taking refuge in my dreams...
i look myself being lost
trying to find myself in this frost
but i was blinded, my path unclear
all i could see is a mist
and myself tightly clenched in it's fist
upon taking refuge in my dreams...
i look at this world as a stage
where love is locked in a cage
i look at this world as a market
where affection is sold
to hearts rather cold
upon taking refuge in my dreams...
i look myself downtrodden
misguided and forgotten
i try not to think of you
but this never happens as i fear
the very thought of u, casts a tear
upon taking refuge in my dreams...
i look myself stranded in despair
there is not even a single ray of gleam
even near my dreams
but i still prefer to live
in these hopeless realms! ! !
