Rain Poem by Pranayee Rachamalla

When drops of happiness,
come dancing to reach us,
When droplets of joy
and smiles from sky,
jump down with excitement
leaving the dancing clouds apart
and reaches like pearls of hope
or like millions of smileys fitted in a single drop,
with the aroma of our mother land,
beauty and fragrance of nature on the other hand;
and thunders adding their own melody,
to the song of the rain duly,
as if the sky is taking a snap
of us through thunders! and wrap
itself with the shawl of black clouds,
to hear the music of the clinging rain droplets
and preserving all these sweet memories in her pocket
while we dance like an open feathered peacock
and paper boats sail to its tune, to enrich this natural artwork
creating a mini waterfall on our staircases
and a miniature boatyard of paper boats,
then smile dances on our lips and glow visits our gladdened face
To credit another beautiful moment of our life!
