Skies opened up suddenly
Clouds no longer able to
Hold back the water in their tummies
Downloaded long chains of rain-
Nature's sky diving, unparachutted
Free falling storm troopers!
Bathing everything in the open
Down below
Flora, fauna, buildings, the soil
all taking a joint bath!
Tapping and drum beating
on the windows and floor
The wind lashing the sheets of
rain to sway and dance
orchestrating,
'Whosh, Whosh, Whosh!
Music of rain
Rain cooked Earth
releasing the aroma of rain,
all delightful to watch, hear
and smell!
Small streams of water
Start flowing on the streets
Rains are a delight for ever
when they are in controlled display
and not in fury
unleashing floods and devastation
Let the controlled display go on
Every now and then
As the water taken up from the earth
Returns to it
Completing a cycle
Recharging the water tables
Quenching the thirst of the mother earth
Forming the rivers and streams and lakes
Enabling farmers to cultivate the
Food chain
Enabling the earthlings to bath, cook and wash
Rains are a must for all!
Rains, rains salute to you
The nature's emissary
Keep your tryst with the earth
Going At regular intervals
To keep the earth and earthlings in good health
Greetings and prayers in reverence
Salute, salute, salute!
