Rain Haiku Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Rain Haiku

running around in the rain
two little girls in the nip
'We're wetter than wet! '

delighting in the rain
two little naked girls
squealing around a garden

'It' orrible when clothes get wet! '
they yell in unison
'...but wet skin is the nicest thing!

the rain & two naked little girls
the best
of friends

at one
with the rain
their naked yells...their naked screams

'Bring 'em in! ' Mum screams
'Nooooooooooooo! '
'The rain's our friend! '

teenagers now
they watch embarrassed
flickering images of them being small

all so ago
upon a time
a fairy tale of rain
