Rainbow Poem by prabhakar bhatlekar

Foggy rain-curtain above
the valley turned me dizzy
and I asked myself
'-am I part of this? '
Someone whispered through
the thicket
'-this is only for you'
and then slowly emerged arch
of a rainbow-only for me!
'It's big, but seems lightweight'
I thought.
'can I touch it, lift it? '
Crazy thought, I agree!
but-I wan't to touch it, lift it.
Then, after an hour it
disappeared. and there was
no question of touching
or lifting it.
I returned, dizzy and
disappointed.
I was tired and reclined on bed.
eyes closed...
Oh..I was touching the rainbow
and lifting it...yes,
It was only for me.
