Rainbow Poem by Serena Eyo

Rainbow

A bow in the silver lining of the cloud
Adding a touch of glamorous colours
Of red, green, orange, yellow, blue, violet, indigo
My heart leaps up when I behold a rainbow in the sky

To add another hue to you is wasteful and superfluous
For you are perfect in your being
Bowing to the earth
And saying “here I am I salute”

Before me, you’ve been
Even now, you still are
I’ll pass but you’ll still be
An everlasting covenant with earth
I bow to you oh! Bow
