Rains Poem by Nasir Kazmi

Rains

The breeze of rainy season blew. I thought of you.
The clapping chain of leaves played. I thought of you.

Ducks spoke in the green sea of rolling grass.
The season full of yellow blooms arrived. I thought of you.

A crow cried in the lonely courtyard of my house.
Drops of the healing shower fell. I thought of you.

At first I screamed crying and then I laughed.

Clouds roared.
Lights flashed.
I thought of you.
