Rainwash Poem by SylvaOnyema (SUPER.T) Ubah

Rainwash

Rating: 5.0

Heavenly tears
Kept rolling
With ceaseless breath
On our opening roof

O! what a mountainous tank of liquid
Littered on our roads

Trousers-filled legs
Wriggle drenched toes
Houses buried like corpse

Goods float like fish
Cars swallowed
At the parking lot
By acromegalic colourless liquid
Halphalgesiac water
Like a roaring lion

Devourng the land
And for seven days

The Heavens fought
The earth

The Heavens fought The earth This shows that the rain was not just an ordinary rain but a stormy flood which kept the people helpless in the face of nature.
