Raising Father
He held my hand
And taught me to walk
Now I hold his gently
As I help him stand.
He taught me to read
The alphabet and time,
Now I teach him to use
Facebook and Instagram.
He came to my open days
Spoke to my teachers
Now I go with him
To doctors and shops.
He patted me to sleep
When I had fever and cough
Now I look at him sleep
And pray for his long life.
