A promise is meant to be kept,
Breaking it leaves a scar,
Invisible they may be, but
They cause you to not go far
...

Love is like the gentle mist
Air laden with feelings warm
Moist as a new sponge cake
Tasty, soothing and calm.

The freedom to fly is not ours yet,
Wings sprouting from underarms
Levitating us through the sky
Soaring over the clouds

Pant, sweat, fight,
Push, shove, break
All the monster barriers
of apathy, red tape
...

Dressed in motley, the fool
Wisely provokes laughter,
Earns his bread daily
By clowning at the theatre,
...

cleaning day-
the smell of coffee
and my thoughts
...

hurrying home
carrying a load-
busy ant.
...

A nod, a blink, a look exchanged
Can reveal a betrayal heartrending,
No words need to be spoken
To break a trust beyond mending.

The first touch of metal on earth
Feels intrusive:
The sharp teeth enter hard packed soil
Tear it apart, while retracting.
