The rakhi,
Colourful silken rakhi,
I am waiting for
The rakhi
Which she will tie
On my wrist
In a traditional way
Seeking blessings
From the Lord
With flowers, fruits, incense sticks, candle
Offered, burnt and shown,
Whispering prayers
And putting a red tikka
On the forehead,
Sprinkling holy water
And with sweets to give.
