India is built on its civilisation
evolved from the days
man first set his foot on earth,
in the valleys of River Indus.

The civilisation blossomed
in the Indus Valley
and spread across
the entire subcontinent.

The Indian civilisation
was susceptible to invasion
from land and the seas,
for its riches, spices and silk.

But it assimilated the cultures
of the migrant population too:
the Yamnayas, Aryans, Persians
the Huna and the Greeks.

Indus Valley was the cradle
of man and his imagination,
his prowess, his power,
his technical skills.

The Indus Valley civilisation
made further progress and over time,
developed into hundreds
of small country states.

It was enriched by
the Dravidian civilisation
pre-existing in the South
benefiting both the cultures.
