Rapture's Reverie - Poem by Jo Lynn Ehnes

Where is thy love, which raptures me
and guides me through seductive dreams?
I'm anxiously awaiting thee
to transport me on glistening beams.

My heart beats fast; thy soul draws nigh,
I hunger for thy heated touch.
This bond, so strong, we shan't defy;
devotion's power lies in our clutch.

Thy dazzling eyes are in my sight
I swiftly reach for warmth's embrace.
Lift me away my handsome knight
escort me to our secret place.

Envelop me in swells of bliss;
create in me a thriving flame.
Enamored by thy passion's kiss
my love for thee I shall proclaim.

I feel the strength from virile hands,
upon my skin they softly glide.
Entranced I yield to thy commands
whilst ecstasy thou dost provide.

Thou reached into elation's core
and pulled from me a sweet release.
No other's touched that deep before,
within my heart's a rousing peace.

Thy spirit now has left my side
but in the night I'll wait for thee.
Our love is like the rising tide
and once again shall come to me.
