Raspberry Lemonade Poem by Raj Dronamraju

Raspberry Lemonade

She made me think of raspberry lemonade
Two things that, on the face of it, shouldn't go together
But do and after consuming her, one is left with the soul satisfied and preconceptions not lamented

One side of her face is slightly more elevated than the other side of her face
She does not photograph well
But when I ask her to be my friend, she told me she already has friends
Her jaw is the shape of traditional Arabic slippers with long curling toes
But she wears it well

She wears herself well and others find her cubist looks rev up the mind's generation of affection
She is ugly for love and beautiful for obsession
Her off kilter smile produces indefinable lust in others
