Rat-Respect



Pretty soon
dispute over nuts
destroyed rat-respect.

Humanity
eunuchized rat male.
Rat responded with The Plague.

Pretty soon,
of nuts
there were enough to go around.

Rat-respect returned.
But O! the rats, the humanity
that nut dispute had burned.
