Raw Tribute

Rating: 5.0

'So, ' I thought,
after reading 'Beverages'
by Kumarmarni Mahakul,
'if aam panna drink made with raw mangoes
eases heat stress and ripe-fruit glut
in a tropical land,
methinks (to me it seems)
that drinks from raw plums, peaches,
apricots and grapes
will ease those two
in a temperate state of summer extremes.

'What's more,
birds will be frustrated,
who eat unripe fruit, but not raw.'
