Razor-Blade Suitcase - Poem by Mikel Calcagno

I’m looking around taking in what’s there
Sinking into it
Succumbing to my fears
What if I’m wrong?
I’ve been known to be before
Why shouldn’t this be the same

Please ground just open up and swallow me whole
Let me come home now
I just want to feel like I’m sane again
Because I’m changed

Ever get the feeling that your life wasn’t real
All you touch you taste and you feel
Some cosmic synesthesia...
What if I’m right?
I’ve been known to be before
But it’s too wrong to be the same...

Now the sky is open up there everything’s clear
Let me come home now
I just want to feel like I’m sane now
Because I’ve changed
