i left one on yours
the words were so sweet
yet a lil’ bit obsessed

you think the poem relates to my life
come on really, gullible
make believe, story telling
it’s what this country is selling

altogether truly meaningless
silly, contrived, blasphemous even
a last ditch to impress-grab a dictionary

flat words, no tone
take back the comment
reread the poem
