Reaching Poem by Alice Kriel

Reaching

Floating on infinite blue
savouring solitude
reaching invisibly
until you/me touch we

Feeling my way through the red
taking time to tepid
reaching through the mist
until I touch your scarred wrist

Flying above all the black
meeting my mislaid maniac
reaching never more
until we touch the last shore.
