Reaching For Your Touch Poem by norman hale

Reaching For Your Touch

Reaching For Your Touch

As I reach through the darkness
Reaching for your touch
But you're not there anymore
The one my heart loves so much

As a fog fills our room
I reach further and further across
And I'm not getting any rest this way
As I restlessly turn and toss

I can fell your hairs silk
Here in the palm of my hand
But slowly it fades away
Lole time runs through sand

I can almost feel your lips
Kissing me on my cheek
And your hand wiping away a tear
Where my eye began to leak

I feel your love my dear
Right here inside of me
With each and every heart beat
This love is blinding me

As I toss and turn here
Reaching for you even more
This love will be right here
Until we reach the for-ever-more

As I roll over and over again
I awake and you're not there
This was all a dream again
Someday you'll know how much I care
