What’s a matter with you all?
Don’t you think i can survive without you?
Well in case you haven’t noticed
I’ve been doing it for years
Yes i’ve had my fair share
Of Struggles and fears
But i have overcome them
Thanks to a pen and paper
And words with my peers
I know in the past
I’ve been feeling sad and down
But sorry I’m staying put
Got a daughter to support now
Whenever i feel low
I just look at her face
That smile of hers
Put’s me straight back
Into a happier place
I’ve had some home truths
Said to my face
That like a pill
I’ve found hard to swallow
But I’m alright
I’m not going to sit back and wallow
So come on take my hand
Follow me into a brighter future
For our children
And stay true to yourselves
So step out of the rain
Into the sunshine
Are you reaching out for me?
Cos I’m reaching out for you
Listen to me everyone
Be proud of who you are
Don’t let anybody
Tell you different
Just stay true to yourselves
