Real Friends Poem by Hebert Logerie

Real Friends

Real friends call
Real friends dare
To love and to care
At the mall
The other day, a bunch of kids
Were together playing skits
Without scripts, without transcripts
Some were wearing beads
And others were without masks
We heard several big blasts
All of a sudden, noise was coming
From everywhere. People were fighting
That was a test of friendship
‘Cause friends stood together, even when the ship
Was sinking deep in the ocean
Friends help friends in any commotion
Friends call anytime
All the time
Real friends dare
To love and to care
Real friends are like the air
Real friends are always fair
Real friends call
Even at the mall
When the noise is unbearable
And the crowd is unmanageable
Friends are not like brothers and sisters
Friends are not like fathers and mothers
Real friends are like rocks and flowers
Real friends are not backstabbers
Real friends watch your back
Real friends rock.
