Real Intimacy Poem by Esther Hadassah Sendeza

Real Intimacy

Real Intimacy is not about sex,
It is not about the body's nakedness.
Real Intimacy is the nakedness of the soul.

Real Intimacy is not a pair of legs,
To burry yourself into.

It is a pair of hands that will hold you,
Through thick and thin.
A pair of eyes that will look at you,
in all your seasons.
A pair of ears that will listen,
To all the words pouring from your heart.
Lips that say "I've got you, no matter what"

Intimacy is so much more,
It is undressing your soul and saying
"this is me, and I trust you with me"
