Realisation of Stillness
In the heart of a poet

It was a rainy night,
The fierce lightning and thunderbolt,
All the trees of the forest were struck
with the gust of stormy wind,
All around are broken branches of trees,
Fruits, flowers were Squandered
by the heavy flow of rain and wind,
In the deep darkness nature
was in deep turmoil by nature's course,
It was a rainy season and occasional
rain with the gush of wind was washing
the tired days and night,
The lightning and thunder
were kissing the ground,
All night the sky and the earth
Were in deep state of love affair.

The poet was enjoying
the first storm Of the season,
The gush of wind and shower
Onto his windowsill,
The rain was washing
his worn-out Mind,
In his small hut, all night
he was on his bed looking outside,
Rain was falling with strange sound,
In the early morning
when the sky was clear and
silence was deep,
He decided to go outside
to see the Sunrise on the riverside,
He wished to see the face of the
fresh morning.

On the shore he looked at the sun,
Slowing like a big ball of Soft fire,
The sun rose,
It was rising like a baby crawling,
Something deep happened in his heart,
A Majestic joy entered his being,
The sun with its eternal silence
dawned in his heart,
Thought stopped moving,
In his heart a pristine silence
descended without the noise of the Mind,
Mind was not inbetween he and the sun,
The poet became for a moment
the Sun himself,
Instantly the spring with the sound of silence entered the heart of the Summer.

The poet looked at the sun
rising without watching the rising,
He looked and looked
With no thoughts at all,
The space within space
The heart was enlightened with
variety of colours,
The rainbow and the music of
unalloyed rejoicing,
The space was contained
In the space of the heart,
The sun was rising in the inward world,
Entire being was thrilled
With the magnitude of unwonted stillness,
For the first time the entire creation
happened within his innocent Mind.
