Realistic Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Realistic

Realistic

How to talk when
-Rumi and Shams can't be yours?

What to say when
-you are realistic and your thoughts
-are after bread and the table
-victory and success in the war?

What to say when
-you see Hollywood and its pet
-and pageants and runway walks
-and fashions and designs and makeups
-limited either to your church or Synagogue?

What to say when
-you are blind, deaf
-to me and the Hindus
-and mankind's branches
-to Veda, Avesta, Fire-walks?

What to say when
-I am too drunk
-have inhaled particles of poems
-of Rumi recited while marching
-on the rockets in my mind
-like flue, and chorus of the tars…?

What to say but keeping…
-my silence, isolate
-dancing with Sufism
-feeling the music in skin
-with angels painting words over it
-a canvas to the hell and heaven?

Oh dear
Oh, sister and brother
Go away find way to realism
Let me go to hide in craziness
Leave me be in love a harmless
Leave me keep peace flag of sky to the earth
Leave me to do plough and grow hell or heaven
