Reality Poem by Tsunami HiroshiSu

Reality

Can we pretend that love is like candy?
Sweet all the time

Can we pretend that city lights are like star light?
Made for wishing on

Can we pretend that flowers are harmless?
And don’t have hidden thorns

Can we pretend that friends are always true?
And never stab you in the back

Can we pretend that I know exactly what I’m talking about?
No matter what I say

Can we pretend reality isn’t what it is?
Can we pretend that a cold glass of water in the face isn’t what I need?

Can we pretend that there is no reality?
Can we pretend…no.
