Reality Poem by joanna luffnagel

Reality

im standing between your lies
and my feelings
just hanging there not knowing what to do
I think im waiting for you

im waiting for you to convince me that you're honest
and that you never lied
but if this costs you to lie again
then just leave me in pain

its hard to walk away
and its even harder to know that I cant stay
and that I have to
not that I want to

no more you, no more us
I miss your eyes, your warm hands and your voice
the way you held me so close to your heart
that I only heard its beats and ignored all the noise

but I guess this is goodbye
this is where we stand on opposite sides
maybe we're apart now and not together
but you're heart is sticking beside mine now and forever

goodbye for now
and I hope i'll see you someday
when im allowed to tell you
I miss you I love you I need you
without feeling guilty
but I do love you and I will always will

so the clock is ticking again?
but my mind is not numb
cause your love was only my imagination
your love was imaginary but
you were real and you are my reality
