Reality Bites Poem by shweta khosla

Reality Bites

I let you walk over me,
I let you take away my dignity,
You did it with grace,
And you made me thank you

For a flimsy excuse,
Of friendship and love,
A sign of change and hope,
A lie masquerading as the truth.

Reality has raised the curtain,
But I still don’t want to see.
It’s comforting to embrace pain,
It’s painful to start something new.
