Reality Is Harsh Poem by Faith Evanstar

Reality Is Harsh

I fear the times,
I must face reality.
Isn't it so much easier,
To forget all of our problems?

To hide them,
So we can be happy?
We wouldn't have to,
Face our fears,
Or be weak.

It's true,
Reality is harsh.

My fears haunt me,
Deep in my dreams.
I can't bear,
To face the cruel reality of life.

Yet the life I choose,
Is nothing but a fraud.
It is filled with lies,
To make me happy.

But is it worth it?
Am I happy?
Deep inside my heart,
I know this life is fake,
Full of pretences.

I must face reality,
However hard it may be.

It is time,
For the truth,
To expose itself.
