Try To Fly Poem by Faith Evanstar

Try To Fly

I was always nobody,
But I want to become somebody.

Somebody worth talking to,
Someone worth listening to.

I'll step out of the darkness,
Into the light.

I feel so small,
I feel so vulnerable.

But the light was so alluring,
So innocent and pure.

I can feel you watching me,
You're waiting for me to make a mistake.

So you can tell me,
How wrong I was.

Let me be.
I'm stronger than you think.

I'm terrified.
But I'll try.
I'll try to fly.
