He was at the gate
With bowls in hand to state
“I am hungry since many days”
My prayers for your good may certainly pay
I was not moved at all
But was moved by his call
No doubt his belly spoke of it
To give him at this hour seemed fit
Some poor may be artificially living
Make us fool for just believing
Otherwise they have enough to eat and survive
But easy way makes them to think and drive
People call it profession
With all lies in store for confession
Sometimes mothers is ill and sometimes child is sick
But not all beggars deserve kicks
Some are forced to with bad luck
Circumstances and situation has badly struck
They got to make some kind of living
To push the show on and start reliving
It is hard to feel penniless
There is defiance on face
You can’t curse god or rich man
As it is all dependants on being good human
They live in huts but with all luxury
Nothing to think and nothing to worry
With little effort every thing is available
That sometimes you may be feeling incapable
It is an art of conviction
Make others to fit in your shoes with no compulsion
Make to feel for his part of misery
Really blessed are such people from almighty

Susan E Birch I confess, Hasmukh, sometimes I struggle to understand your poems (my failing..not yours) but this one is very clear and I do agree. Many people are where life has kicked them and struggle through no fault of their own...a good honest look at life here 14 minutes ago · Like · 1
