Realms Of Time Poem by Gerry Legister

Realms Of Time

Rating: 5.0

Time sends friends to beat the bends
A drug, a headache, of staggered waves
My mind tries to evade the demands,
That goes into a cave with rage and raves.

Born last, like a vintage, we may not last
The deep adventures into the depths.
On edge, scratch our hoary heads with glass.
Looking at the past with crosses on our paths.

We have no crystal ball to spy on the future
Nightmare is a fanfare, with nothing to care
Surging more rapidly towards the nuclear
We are here, cold-like others already there.

Picking at the ditch sinking with the war
The realms of time have made a final call.
Consumption for all monuments is not far,
This catastrophe will engulf the earth like a ball.

Ditch a fare to avoid this risk of a broken disk
Melting with greedy heat, we have entreated
There is no retreat and no empty street mist
Where defeat has not washed the concrete.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
So many things have defeated us, and has made our lives like prisoners on earth, we can can barely influence the climate change, and the struggles we face are gathering pace
