It's staunch belief, dear lad, to kill,
‘Branded' enemies, to carry out His will,
For reasons, beyond our comprehension,
As if the world in need of redemption.
It's commitment to ‘truth n' rationality',
But truth often lies in distance from reality,
Like moon looks a silver sphere to toddler,
But rocks and craters to space explorer.
In despair, they vow to fight for God,
Almighty, who always spares the rod.
Lord shows pointers to navigate,
But men see them as spears to instigate.
It's God's command, to fundamentalists,
but barbarism to civilized pluralists.
Dear son, in this short life; ‘dust to dust',
God gives no reason to feel disgust.
It's invasions, turn the innocent insurgent,
Force them follow paths, divergent.
Violence in uniform is noble defense,
But in civilian dress, major offence!
Extremism, offshoot of tyranny, to prevail,
If war remains an industry, large scale,
And greedy eyes fall on untapped treasure,
Abroad, to invade n' loot in large measure.
