Red Rose Poem by Deepthi Vincent

Red Rose

Do you remember the rose
That you found in a crystal vase
Beside your office work desk
On your last birthday

Do you remember the rose
Its color, so deep and vibrant
The smooth, velvet petals
And mesmerizing fragrance

I remember the rose
That I found in your dust bin
Along with heaps of garbage
Still in its glory

A rose as beautiful as your smile
With petals soft as your touch
A red rose with color of your lips
And scent of your breath

I still remember everything
I cannot forget anything
Do you know why?
Coz, that rose was ‘my heart'
